Believe it or not, this little $299 piece is one of the most exciting products new products we've come across. The AIM MyTach is a VERY capable datalogger. Don't think of it as a watch, think of it an amazingly compact and useful analysis tool. - The MyTach has a GPS receiver that updates 10x per second.
- It features an internal 3-axis accelerometer to record G's.
- It tracks speed, distance, position and acceleration.
- It can remember a start-finish line and give you lap times.
Data can be analyzed in AIM's popular Race Studio 2 software and be downloaded and viewed in Google Maps. The potential for any automotive enthusiast is great. You can record acceleration runs, slalom, skidpad or anything else to evaluate your performance. You can do laps at a track and not only look at speeds, braking points, G's through corners, etc but have lap times as well.
Perhaps the most powerful thing is you can OVERLAY laps. So you can see where you're doing better and where you're doing worse, and you can even compare yourself against other drivers/cars/etc. And this is just in motorsports. Its grear for mountain bikers, skiiers, etc as well. See it here: http://www.apexspeedtech.com/mytach.html

Leslie Porterfield has been a good friend of ours for a few years. Last night, she was featured on the Discovery Channel Show "Speed Capital of the World: Bonneville"
After providing the electronics for her first land speed bike last year, we've watched as things steadily grew bigger - and now she's on TV and signing autographs at Cycle World shows. Its not just that she's a kick-ass rider with serious skills, she's also a really great person. Leslie's one of those people who makes everyone around her feel important, and its a pleasure to be a part of her team. Rhys Griffiths, Apex's Hayabusa Guru, deserves all the credit for his tuning and support. And special thanks to Scott Horner from Head's Up Performance for building a great bike and being a great customer!
The Bike features: - Apex Plug & Play ECU for Suzuki Hayabusas

For all you EVO X owners, Apex has got a trick way of making the car more raceable by moving the diff controller controls to the steering wheel. This is not a simple re-wiring job but involves a bit of engineering. We're willing to make these for other EVO owners if you're interested, so feel free to contact us.

Working with Steve Ruiz from Stoptech and Harman Motive, Apex has created a real neat AIM MXL dash installation. The AIM MXL interfaces with the stock Subaru CAN bus and features AIM's excellent GPS system plus suspension travel sensors. Apex specializes in custom tailoring motorsports electronics to your specific application. Steve could have bought this dash from anyone, but this level of installation is a different stoy!

After almost a year of work, the V10 powered E30 BMW is ALIVE. We are currently involved with 4 BMW V10 projects, but this is the first to work in a car and it is incredible. Piper Motorsports did an incredible job building this car, and its a real pleasure to drive. We have over 150 miles of driving in a variety of traffic conditions from wide open to stop-and-go traffic, and the docile nature of the car is really nice. Its E92 suspension package is so balanced you can do what you want with it, and its motor has torque that pulls like nothing else on the road. Click here to see a teaser movie of yours truly messing around...
The car features: - Fully sequential V12 fuel & spark by Pectel SQ6M12
- Full variable camshaft control for all 4 cams.
- Full electronic throttle control for both throttles.
- Driver adjustable traction control system with 4 settings.
- Driver selectable Anti-lock Brake system.
- Digital Pi OMEGA dashboard with multiple pages to monitor all vital functions including oil pressure, temperature, electronic oil level sensing, fuel level, water temperature, speed, RPM, Traction Control setting, Map setting and more.
- Ole Buhl Racing power management system with electronic load control and power distribution.
- Electronic cooling fan with variable speed based on radiator temp and road speed.
- Custom mil-spec wiring by Apex.
Now that the car is complete and running, it will be disassembled and painting. In the meanwhile, Apex will shrink, boot and seal all the wiring harnesses in preparation for final assembly. Expect to see finished pictures soon. Apex is a worldwide leader in complex engine control. We have cutting edge experience in variable camshaft & drive-by-wire throttle control for a wide variety of modern motors. For whatever your application, contact us and we can help!
