Kris Henschke had an idea for something different - he wanted to build a "big-bang" GSXR1000 to try and improve ridability and torque productions.  This innovative idea, used in MOTO-GP, involves firing cylinders 1&4 simultaneously to produce one big torque pulse, followed by cylinders 2&3.  Kris was able to get the custom camshafts needed to do it, but such a setup required special control.  At the same time, he wanted to have Superbike-spec data logging and a dashboard - so he turned to Apex Speed Technology.  The results were excellent!  Using a Pectel SQ-6 ECU, Pi Omega dash, AEM Lambda Amplifer and custom adapter harness by Apex, he was able to get his bike up and running in just a few days. 

Apex designed a plug & play harness that interfaced directly with the Suzuki race kit harness while allowing for the custom dash, sensors, switch panel and more.  This bike features Pectel's excellent traction control system as well as damper pots and lean angle sensing to make it a potent track-pay weapon!

Working with BBI Autosport in Hungtington Beach, Apex Speed Technology has created the ULTIMATE Radical electrical system.  This car features a Pectel ECU, AIM Formula Steering Wheel and full traction control.  Its now being upgraded with a pro-shift paddle system.

This car features several innovations.  Radio call, traction control settings and map settings are all adjustable by buttons on the steering wheel.  There are no wires between the wheel and the car - the connector is in the steering shaft!  This also includes the paddle shift wiring.  The car features Pectel's excellent traction control and over 200hp from the BBI Autosport built Suzuki Hayabusa motor, as well as AIM GPS & EVO3 datalogging and an integrated Chasecam video system.  The video is mixed with data from the AIM via their DAVID system.  Finally, circuit protection is all via circuit breakers, and custom power relay and switch wiring is all custom from Apex Speed Technology!

Not all our customers are high-dollar pro teams!  Steve Benjamin is a street and track-day ZX-10R owner who was less than satisfied by the drivability and performance of his race-kit ECU.  Apex replaced it with a Bazzaz ZF-i unit with the Air-Fuel module. .

A great sense of sadness came over me when I returned from Europe last summer to learn of the passing of Chris Carlisi, one of the brightest and most interesting guys I'd ever worked with.  We found these pictures recently of his amazing work.

911 Designs makes some insane Porsches.  Based on the legendary GT3RS, Loren Beggs and the gange add twin-turbocharging and a host of aero and suspension upgrades to build 900+ hp rocketships.  Here's a great YouTube Video from James Sofranos's car taking the green flag at the Porsche Festival of Speed at Fontana earlier this year.  The car in the video is the sister car of the one pictured below, and its got a pretty cool paint job.  Watch it pull away, that's what we call THRUST!

Jordan Team Suzuki's Aaron Yates scored a dramatic 3rd place finish at Laguna Seca, becoming the only non-factory team to podium in 2008!

The Apex/Piper Motorsports E30 M3 V10 has been progressing nicely. The car's entire electrical system all the way down to the wipers is by Apex. With 580hp of V10 power, lightweight harnesses, ABS and traction control, this is going to be a very hard car to beat!

Motorsports Enterprises runs some amazing Formula 1 cars and CSRs out of their shop near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. When they came to us for some dash help, we ended up providing them with an AIM EVO3 system with Steering Wheel Dash and GPS. Apex built a special plug & play harness that allowed us to plug the AIM directly into the Swift Chassis harness with no modifications! Brian finished 2nd to his dad, not too shabby!

Guatemala Honda asked Apex to come down and setup Cental American Superstar Marcos Reichert's Honda CBR600 and 1000's.  Not only have the bikes won every race they've done, but gotten a few track records too!  The 600 features a full MOTEC M800 system with traction control by Apex, and the 1000 features an Apex Speed Technology tuned Bazzaz Performance Z-Fi unit.  Apex has race & championship winning customers in Germany, England, Mexico, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, Portugal, Dubai, the Carribean and now Guatemala.  Let us add your country to that list!
